Presentation of engineering plant «Electrontrans» and first Ukrainian low-floor tram Electron

«Electron» corporation and its newly created joint Ukrainian-German enterprise «Eleсtrontrans» presented public production capacity of the plant and its product –absolutely (100%) low floor tram «Electron», which has no analogues in Ukraine and CIS.

Part in presentation of the new tram took Vice Prime of Ukraine Oleksandr Vilkul Head of Lviv Regional State Administration Victor Shemchuk, Head of Lviv Regional Council Peter Kolody, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy, other officials and guests from different cities and regions of Ukraine.

Enterprise and a new tram introduced the president of corporation «Electron», chairman of the board Yuri Bubes.

The tram «Electron» is modern one-dimensional low-floor car, the technical level of which corresponds to modern European demands to the urban electric transport, in particular concerning the level of safety and comfort. 

Movement and work of the tram unit sis controlled by multi-control systems. Wide doors and low level of the floor along the entire length of the car are convenient for the passengers loading and unloading, especially for children and people with disabilities. Large windows provide wide visibility, and a cabin is equipped with the systems of heating and air conditioning, and also the systems for reducing vibration and noise in the course of the tram movement. Number of seats- 58, maximum passenger capacity of the tram- 250. Large windows provide extensive visibility, interior is equipped with heating and air conditioning systems as well as reduction of vibration and noise while moving of the tram.

Among the technical features of the tram «Electron» - modern traction motors, each drive trolley is equipped with a device for automatic, dosed supply of sand to the rails for longer life of the track, automatic dosing device for supply sand to the rails with slip and braking. At the moment of the car braking due to the modern power drive an energy recovery occurs – a return of the current to a power circuit (energy saving amounts to 40%).

The new enterprise «Electrontrans» - it`s a modern engineering company with technologically flexible production, today makes trams for ways of different width - 1000 mm, 1435 mm and 1524 mm – so, we are producing trams not only for the cities of Ukraine, but also for export - to CIS countries and the European Union.

Joint Ukrainian-German venture «Electrontrans» was founded by «Electron» corporation, company «Trans-Tec» (Germany) and Ltd. «Avtotehnoproek» (Lviv) to produce new modern trams, trolleybuses and electrobuses. Production capacity of JV «Electrontrans» will allow to produce 100 trams and 100 trolleybuses or elektrobuses a year. At such loading of production at the enterprise will be created more than 200 new workplaces.
